CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Dress & appearance :- Students should attend classes regularly and punctually in full uniform prescribed to them. Uniform should be clean and well pressed. All students shall use polished black shoes and socks. During rainy season (June-August) use black sandals. On Wednesdays white shoes and socks must be used. Parents are requested to see that the students strictly adhere to these stipulations. Unfair hair dressing shall not be appreciated. Boys must cut their hair short once in every month. Coloring of hair is prohibited. Boys of higher classes should come with clean shaven face.
2. Pupils must be in their class room by the 1st bell at 8.20 a.m. Those who arrive earlier must maintain perfect morning silence. They must not leave the school without the permission of the class teacher and Principal. Students shall not be sent home without the written request by the parent/guardian and unless a duly authorized person comes to escort him/her.
3. Personal cleanliness and hygiene are to be followed strictly by all. Nails should be cut short and kept clean. Nail polish should not be used.
4. Use of Conveyance: Queue system must be strictly observed. If the pupil wants to discontinue the travel in any emergency condition, has to inform the office in advance and in written. Every pupil is expected to behave in a polite manner while travelling by the school bus or private conveyance. They are not allowed to produce unwanted loud noises inside the school bus.
5. Students shall have with them the text books and note books/ files required for the class he/she attends and shall keep them neat and labeled. No newspapers, periodicals, comics etc other than school books, shall be brought to school without the knowledge of the Principal. Students are not allowed to keep their study materials in their class when they leave after class.
6. Cell phones, IT related storage devices, camera etc are strictly prohibited.
7. Environmental sanitation : School premises, surroundings and class rooms should be kept neat and tidy always. Do not litter waste paper, seeds, sweet wrappers and other rubbish inside the class rooms and campus. If anyone finds anything littered, it should be deposited in the waste baskets and bins provided for his purpose.
8. To cultivate the habit of conservation of energy and water students are advised to switch off lights and fans and close the water taps after use.
Behaviour
9. Avoid vulgarity in talk and behavior. Every student should behave respectfully to their parents, grandparents and staff members. Pupils should realize that they are responsible to the authorities of the school not only for their conduct in the school but also for their general behavior outside.
10. Participation in all school programmes is compulsory.
11. Home exercises shall be done regularly by students from class III onwards and submitted at the appointed time.
12. Attendance
Pupil coming late loses the benefit of attendance for the day concerned. Pupils who are absent from the class must bring leave note from their parents /guardian to the class teacher stating the reason for their absence. Irregular attendance, unjustified or unexplained absence for more than one week, habitual idleness, repeated failure in tests and examinations or disobedience will not be tolerated. Attendance in all official school functions is mandatory.
No child who has less than 75% attendance to his/her credit in a particular academic year shall be considered for promotion. Unauthorized absence for a period of 15 days and above will result in removal of pupil’s name from the roll. All students should attend all examinations without fail. Students who are absent from exams will be treated as having failed.
Absence without the prior permission of the Principal from the examinations and activities which are part of the school based assessment and evaluation will be considered a serious breach of school discipline.
13.Discipline
Strict disciplinary actions will be taken against pupils found guilty of any malpractices in the examination.
Keep silence while passing along the corridors or stair case.
Playing, shouting or whistling inside the class rooms are strictly prohibited.
While passing along the corridor or staircase, pupils should keep the left.
After the class has begun, no student shall enter the class without the permission of the Principal nor he/she leaves the class.
No student shall disturb another class at work on the flimsy plea of asking a pen, pencil or book on loan from his friend.
Each pupil is responsible for the safe custody of his/her belongings. School is not responsible for the loss of their belongings. Costly and fancy jewellery must not be worn in the school.
Students should not destroy or damage school property. Consider public property as your own property. Scribbling on walls and furniture is strictly prohibited.
Students should neither borrow nor lend money, nor exchange articles.
No collection of money for any purpose is to be made without the previous knowledge of the Principal.
Students are not permitted to purchase anything from shops outside during school hours.
Don’t forget to wear the ID card daily. After use keep it in your school bag.
Every student has to participate in any one of the 18 club activities offered in the school on Thursdays.
14. Promotion is entirely based on the student’s attendance and performance in the assessment and examination.
15. School Diary:
Student’s dairy must be brought to school everyday. Kindly check the school diary and ensure that it is brought to school every day, properly filled and duly signed by the parent.
